Hayley hails from the gloriously sunny state of California, where she spent most of her childhood exploring the seas of Santa Cruz with her surf board. Upon graduating with a double major in English Literature and Children’s Theatre, she began leading multi-day backcountry trips for through the Grand Canyon, Yosemite National Park, Zion National Park and Sequoia National Park.
After four years of trekking through the states, Hayley set her sights abroad and landed herself in Costa Rica where she studied and educated youth about Insects and Arthropods for the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. After handling some buggy critters, she made her way back to the ocean to lead surf expeditions for the next six months.
Most recently, Hayley has been working in China and Switzerland as an outdoor educator wanting to bring a more direct learning approach about how humans cause environmental effects. When she isn’t zipping around the world, Hayley enjoys a solid sleeve of Oreos, milk, and a good book.
