Isabela directs and manages all projects related to staff development, program innovation and risk management. Born in Brazil, Isabela’s experience has been varied in the field of international experiential education and performing arts.
She’s had the good fortune to have studied, lived and worked in many countries such as the US, Nicaragua, Mexico, Australia, Spain and Brazil, and travelled extensively around the world. Isabela is a starter and thrive on meaningful challenges, having established many projects and programs successfully. Her career path has always been passion led. Her unique experience range from performing with companies such as Cirque du Soleil, Wise Fool and Teatro de Los Sentidos, contributing to community-oriented projects with underserved youth through the Miami Performing Arts Center, Sister-City Project and the UNESCO Universal Cultural Forum, to leading the Brazil Program as Country Director for Where There Be Dragons and Global Citizen Year. One of her bold achievements was to combine her work in the arts and education to found and lead the Organization of Permaculture and Art – OPA in Bahia, Brazil.
She loves to spend time in nature, practice yoga, dance and play with her little son. Isabela holds a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Colorado.
