Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Liz Heller received her B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature with a minor in Sociology from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Liz spent her semesters in DC interning at several child-advocacy non-profit organizations and her summers outdoors in the north Georgia mountains as a camp counselor and supervisor. Following her high school and college years spent coaching, mentoring and teaching kids, and her study abroad adventure in Beijing in the spring of 2009, Liz knew she had to find a way to return to China and continue in the non-profit field. Liz was selected for a fellowship to spend a year with the JUMP! Foundation in 2010 and went on to stay with JUMP! as a Program Manager for three years. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in International Development and International Economics at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies. Liz hopes to continue to be actively involved with JUMP! in the future.
