Nick was raised in rural Maine, where he gained a deep love and respect for nature and local communities. During college he threw a dart at a map and consequently spent a semester in Nepal, and his heart has remained there ever since. After receiving his master’s degree in Religious Studies at Naropa University and working with the Nepali community in Colorado, Nick returned to Nepal and as a teacher and medical relief worker for Helping Hands Health Education. He aspires to continue his work there, create new international connections in historically isolated areas, and make integrative, sustainable contributions to Nepal’s development.
Currently splitting his time between Nepal, summer camps in Maine, and JUMP!, Nick does not intend to slow down anytime soon! He is interested in Eastern religions, experiential education, international development, and tea. Nick loves his time with JUMP! because he can explore all of these interests and share his passion with his students.
