Sophie grew up in the North- West of England in the Lake District, one of the UK’s most popular national parks. After leaving school she spent a year travelling and working in Austraila before returning to the UK and working in children’s theatre and received her BA Hons in Humanities. However, it appeared that the travel bug had bitten her good and proper, and it wasn’t long before she set her sights on fairer shores; France, Turkey and Switzerland gave Sophie the opportunity to work as a travel writer, a scuba diving guide, a chalet host, a nanny, an English teacher, an outdoor educator and a program manager. It is in these final two roles that she found her passion and she remained in Switzerland for just under 7 years working for an experiential and outdoor education company in the Alps. However, in 2016, she waved goodbye to her VC family and moved to Bangkok to begin a whole new life inspiring, empowering and engaging students from all over the world with the JUMP! Foundation.
