We've got A´s for your Q´s
Who are the facilitators that will be leading the programs?
Our facilitators have a variety of skills and certifications, but the minimum first aid requirement is a WAFA Certification (Wilderness Advanced First Aid) for any JUMP! Adventures program. We provide staff training for all team members on child protection/safeguarding and risk management.
How are you dealing with the risk of COVID-19?
We have strict measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 during our programs. Participants are asked to take an antigen test no more than 24 hours before the start of the camp and to present proof of a negative result before being able to join the group. Details on this will be supplied following booking and payment.
My child needs to take prescription medication. Can you help with that?
Please make us aware in advance of any medication that your child needs to take. Bring the medication in a clearly labelled bag or container with your child’s name and dosage instructions clearly written in English. JUMP! staff will safely store and carry all necessary medication with them and can help administer as necessary as per the instructions given.
What are the accommodation and sleeping arrangements?
For the Ecosystem Explorers overnight camp in Khao Chamao adventurers will be staying in local guest house accommodations. Rooms are set up for 2-3 campers, with JUMP! staff located nearby. Regarding the Wildlife Protectors camp in Petchaburi, participants will be staying 2 nights in a guest house and 1 night sleeping. They will share tents in groups of 2 or 3, with JUMP! staff located nearby. Toilet facilities and showers will be available within the campground, with separate blocks for boys, girls and staff.
What are your safety protocols and procedures?
All sites and activities are thoroughly risk assessed before participants arrive, and JUMP! staff are experienced at managing and mitigating risk factors. We will have access to a safety-checked driver and vehicle at all times in case of an emergency. Technical activities are always led by qualified and experienced instructors.
How do you deal with a child feeling unwell?
We will do everything we can to prevent any illness, including providing plenty of drinking water, ensuring that participants get regular shade from the sun and plenty of rest breaks.
If a camp participant does still feel unwell at any point, we will carefully monitor them until they can be collected by a parent or designated caregiver if necessary. We will use the emergency contact numbers provided during booking to contact parents and caregivers. In the event of a medical emergency, we will consult with a doctor or accompany them to the nearest hospital.
Can I get in touch with my child during the trip?
For emergencies we will supply all parents and caregivers with a mobile phone number on which you can reach the JUMP! staff.
What is your cancellation policy?
If a program is cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, you will have the option for a full refund or to transfer your booking to new camp date in the future. Refunds will be given within one week of the cancelation notification being sent. JUMP! has been providing experiential education across the world for over 15 years. Our programs are designed to foster transformational learning experiences for international school students between the ages of 7 and 18.
This summer, we are excited to offer programs in Thailand that will give your child the opportunity to explore the city from a new perspective, develop their personal leadership skills, and engage with nature and local communities with a sense of purpose. Our programs are curated with the cultural context of international students in mind and are rooted in self-reflection, community engagement, and solution-oriented mindsets.
JUMP believes that providing children with the opportunity to step outside of their comfort zone and challenge themselves in a supportive and fun environment is essential for personal growth. Enroll your child in one of our programs this summer and watch as they develop new skills, make lasting friendships, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.
