Xueyan was born in Jiangsu Province in Southern China. After obtaining her Bachelors degree in Economics, she moved to Germany to pursue a Masters degree in Sustainable Resource Management at the Technology University of Munich in 2004. After worked in the business sector for over four years, she realized that the sustainable development and social responsibilities in enterprises are very important topics for emerging China.
Before joining JUMP! she worked for Wildlife Conservation Society as the South China Programme Manager overseeing project implementation and office operation. She also worked for BSR as an Advisory Manager and as Senior Programme officer for international organizations WWF and IUCN. With this abundant working experience, she lead and designed many training and capacity building programmes for different audiences such as government officials, local communities, women workers in the manufacturing, and teachers in high school.
She is excited to become a member of the JUMP! family and is looking forward to combining environmental education into JUMP! programs. In her leisure time, she likes hiking, bird watching, skiing, and many outdoor activities.
